Dr. Zale

Dr. Zale is a native from Scranton Pennsylvania.

He graduated from the University of Scranton with a BS in Biology and BS in Psychology.

In 1984 he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University Dental School, Philadelphia, PA.

After being in private practice for general dentistry, he then went on to receive his certificate of completion in the specialty of Periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh, PA.

He also went on to the University of Louisville for specialty training in Dental Prosthodontics.

Periodontics and Prosthodontics sound alike but are very different Periodontics is the study and treatment of the gums and bone, whereas Prosthodontics is dental treatment using crowns or dentures. The combination of both these residencies train for the placement and then the restoration of implants. Dental implants are used to replace tooth roots or stabilize dentures. He has clinical experience with Dental implants since 1989.

Being well qualified he was obliged to convey his knowledge in teaching dental students for about 5 years, at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and the Truman Medical Center.

In 1997 Dr Zale returned back to this area where he started his private practice of dentistry.

And since 2000 has the same location in Dickson City.

Now after more than 25 years in dentistry he continues to seek new methods and regularly attends national seminars for his patients needs.

Professional associations include: board member of the Scranton District Dental Society, delegate to the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the memberships with the American Academy of Periodontics, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Leisure activities when timely include bowling, golf, and fishing.

One accomplishment stands out: champions of the Providence Bowling League in 2009 with father Anthony, M.D. at age 93.
